Graduate Programme - Civil and Structural Engineering in UK

URS is a leading global provider of multidisciplinary environmental and engineering consulting services, which improve both the built and natural environment. Due to growth within our business we are looking for enthusiastic and passionate graduates to join us as Civil or Structural Engineers.


Our graduate civil and structural engineering scheme opens up career prospects in a variety of roles and offer exciting and challenging opportunities and projects to get involved in. If you are interested in working with in our transport, maritime or water sector developing innovative and award winning solutions, working on the design for landmark buildings for some of the world largest companies or working within our nuclear power team then this scheme could be the one for you.

As a graduate joining this programme you could find yourself involved in detailed designs and calculations for clients or helping with project management or report writing. Your role could involve travelling and working on site with our clients as well as undertaking workgroup initiatives. Each day is different and you will be required to use your skills and knowledge in civil and structural engineering to solve problems and provide key input into our projects.

Our work is leading and our expectations are high. We are looking for graduates who meet the following requirements:
• At least a gained / expected 2.1 (or equivalent) degree in civil, structural or related specialist discipline. A masters or other relevant post graduate qualification is an advantage.
• Drive, energy and ambition to achieve results.
• Excellent report writing and verbal communication skills.
• Proven experience of working in a team environment.
• Strong analytical and organisational skills.
• Ability to use initiative and work independently.
• Previous related work experience is an advantage.
• Available to start employment in 2014.
