Vestas Offshore Service is a professional service business
currently maintaining 11 Offshore wind farms ranging from 1 x 2MW
turbine on a floating platform to 100 x 3MW turbines on the east coast
of UK. The service organization is now a newly formed Joint-Venture by
parent company Vestas Wind Systems A/S of Denmark and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) of Japan.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for Servicing, maintenance, fault finding and rectification on all electrical and mechanical systems within the offshore turbines principally at the Thanet offshore wind-farm at Ramsgate in Kent (85-95% of your time), and also at other wind farms within Vestas Offshore as and when required (5-15% of your time).
Qualifications
Fully time served, experienced and competent in either of the electrical or mechanical disciplines and in posession of a very good and verifiable appreciation of the other. An Electro-Mechnical or Marine Industry background is an advantage. Accepted Qualifications are: NVQ L4, HNC/HND in Mech/Elec/Marine, C&G full technological certificate/diploma, passed with Merit. Suitably experienced candidates without the above qualifications will considered only in exceptional circumstances.
